I’ve had a lot of wonderful experiences in my life but I could say with absolute certainty that the most precious and memorable one was when I became a mother. Nothing can compare to the moment when I first saw my daughter. The feeling was a mixture of happiness, peace, and awe that I was able to bore this precious gift from God for nine months and now she’s finally here. There’s nothing easy about motherhood. It has its ups and downs and there are times when you feel like you’re at the end of your rope. But I’ve always stuck to my commitment to be the best mother I can possibly be and I’d never exchange this opportunity for anything else. (more…)
I love summer because I’m able to spend quality time with my family, going to beaches, enjoying the sea’s breeze, and basking in all the sun’s glory. This we don’t get to do often since all of us, including my daughter, are always busy. Other families, I’m sure, are on the same boat and spend most of their time indoors. Thus, sun exposure is very limited. Our current lifestyle of wearing long sleeved clothing, using too much sunscreen, and staying indoors for most parts of the day are some reasons why most Filipinos are Vitamin D deficient. Another reason would be our naturally tan complexion. Studies have shown that the darker the skin, the less Vitamin D is produced.
After a successful year of producing talented basketball players from Luzon, Alaxan FR continues its Court of Inspiration campaign by constructing basketball courts in barangays in Visayas and Mindanao, including General Santos, Bohol, Tagum, Bacolod, Roxas and Ozamis.
