Hey mommies! It’s that time of the year again — when you have to keep your kids happy, interested and un-bored for the long summer days at home. While we can’t possibly keep them at the beach for two whole months, we could surely find fun summer activities for kids at home.

And what could be better a summer activity than food activity? Forget the safety hazard — these suggestions are all safe — here are your 3 no-bake dessert ideas to make with your kids:

1. Ice Cream Cake

On the level of kid’s interest, ice cream is an absolute check. And so is cake. Put them together and voila: pure kid awesomeness. Two ways to make the ice cream cake: you can make thin layers of sponge cakes, with your favorite ice cream flavors in between; or you can use the ever reliable Graham’s crackers. For a more pie-esque base, use crushed grahams with melted butter, mix together until crumbles form and put in your casserole plates (or ramekins for smaller servings).

In The Child's Best Interest

When deciding on the custody of a minor, the courts take into account the particular financial, social, and moral circumstances of each parent. In case the court determines that neither parent is fit to take care of the child, custody may be awarded to a surviving grandparent, eldest brother or sister, the child’s actual custodian, or any other person deemed suitable by the court.

The general rule: A child under seven years of age shall not be separated from his mother unless the court finds compelling reasons to order otherwise, such as neglect, abandonment, unemployment and immorality, habitual drunkenness, drug addiction, maltreatment of the child, insanity, and affliction with a communicable illness.

Fun Eating Tools
Spice up your kid’s mealtimes with these handy tools just perfect for little fingers

Need help with your picky eater? Check out these useful tips!

  • Let babies start out eating with their fingers. It’s a wonderful exercise in hand-eye coordination.
  • Spoons and forks or sporks are okay. Toddlers or preschoolers who can’t spear their food can scoop it up instead.
  • Knives and little kids don’t mix. Never let them get their hands on these sharp objects.
  • Sippy cups are a-okay — they’re spill-proof and easy to wash. When practicing with real glasses, train your kids how to use them without breaking.
  • Let your toddlers use bowls instead of plates. They minimize food spills and cleanups.
  • Go printed! Patterned tablecloth and tableware are also nifty teaching tools to help him identify different shapes and colors.
