Bacolaodiat Festival 2011

MicroBlog | 02-Feb-11

My friends from NB invited me to join them in covering one of the best festivals we have here in our city. Every year, wherever there are Chinese communities, the Chinese New Year is celebrated with a big bang and Bacolod City is no exception. Tomorrow will be the start of Bacolaodiat Festival.

Bacolaodiat Festival 2011 Schedule

Bacolaodiat was actually coined from Bacolod and Lao Diat, Fookien word for celebration. The things which makes this festival so special are — there will be cultural performances, lantern dance parade, dragon dance, Chinese food stalls, fireworks display, giant zodiac animals, and live bands too. Come and join us! See you!
