One of the demographics who benefit a lot from the emergence of online stores are mothers. Our schedules are always crazy what with house chores, taking care of the hubby and the kids, running errands, and in some cases, having a career that entails long hours. The convenience of online shopping makes life easier and saves so much time. I no longer have to brave traffic or wait for my turn in a long queue in a mall. All it takes is just a few clicks and voila! I’m done buying the items I like and need and will only have to wait for them to be delivered right at my doorstep. There’s also more items to choose from in online shopping. Furthermore, it’s secure and safe and you can choose from many payment options including COD (cash on delivery).

I’ve only just discovered ShopSM and I have to say that I love it. It’s the online shopping platform of The SM Store, the largest department store chain in the Philippines. ShopSM has a wide variety of items in every department such as menswear to womenswear, shoes to bags, baby essentials to kids’ wear. They also have beauty products and cosmetics, toys, kitchen appliances, and hardware among other things. Plus, they have authentic products from reputable brands.

If you’re already an SM Advantage Card, SM Prestige, or BDO Rewards cardholder, you can earn points at ShopSM, just as you do in the store. You can have your package delivered straight to your home or have it picked during your lunch break or as part of your day off. You can likewise avail of the “Click and Collect” option where you choose your preferred branch during checkout and they’ll prepare your items and have it ready in-store.

ShopSM also offer reliable services such as remittance, ticketing, bills payments, currency exchange, clothing alterations, and home delivery.

My ShopSM Experience

I’m so delighted to have experienced online shopping at ShopSM. It’s so convenient and I was able to save so much time. On top of the online shopping, I was able to do some chores that I probably wouldn’t have done if I shopped at the mall.

The website is user friendly that’s why I didn’t have any problems ordering my item as well as paying for it. Upon checkout, I was given the option to pay via cash on delivery or credit/debit card. As for the shipping, I have the option to choose either delivery (with a standard fee of Php 99) or Click and Collect (free in-store pickup). It’s good to know that they deliver all over the country.

It’s nice to note that the items they have at The SM Store are also found at their online store. And guess what.. they also have sale items online — you can get as much as 50% off! When you shop at ShopSM, you will earn points with your SM Advantage Card or BDO Rewards Card, just like when you shop at the physical store.

I bought the Hosh Queen Size Reversible Comforter Set which has a regular price of Php 1,299.75 but I got for Php 1,039.80 only. I ordered it last December 27. I got a text from them that the estimated date of arrival is around January 01 to 04 but it arrived on January 06, which is understandable because it’s the holidays.

Overall, I’m super happy and satisfied with my shopping experience. I think this is the start of many more online shopping at ShopSM.

How To Shop At ShopSM

Here’s a step by step guide on how to shop online at Shop SM:

Visit www.shopsm.com
Sign in if you’re already a member or register if not yet.
Browse the category you are looking for.
Click the item/s that you want and add to bag.
If you’re done with your shopping, click the bag button at the upper right of the screen and click check out.
Choose if you want your item/s to delivered to you or collect it at your chosen The SM Store branch.
Add your SM Advantage, SM Prestige or BDO Rewards Card to earn points in every purchase.
Check your Mode of Payment.
Place your order.
You’ll receive an email notification from ShopSM that your order is confirmed.
You’ll also receive an invoice from ShopSM.
There will be a text message from 2go Express stating that they’ll deliver your item (or email from Shop SM that your order is ready for pick-up at your chosen The SM Store branch).
